  1. Yeh 16's to me too. It all depends on the offset and width. 16'2 tend to fit pretty well in zeds, but there too many variables that we dont know, so let us know more about the wheel and we can help.
  2. haha, i could have sworn you told me L28 my bad
  3. Im impressed. Looks good, has heaps of different options, lots of power if you want it or not, lightweight, impreza running gear. My question is, How much?
  4. As it would turn out, I had a look around and have heard only a couple of good things vs a lot of bad things, so there isnt any need to tell others. If only Sooley had been told. Not to mention there are plenty of places with a better rep and similar prices, so bugger em.
  5. Im gonna warn few others around, so you may have just saved a few people too. Thanks mate, sorry to hear how it turned out though.
  6. L28
  7. if you dont have a manual, let me know Will. But I wont be able to read it till next weekend
  8. Well thanks heaps for the heads up. Maybe just saved me a lot of pain. Sound like a bunch of tools. Actually no, tools are usefull!!
  9. I was about top buy some injector collars form these guys, so let me know how you go so i can decide.
  10. Deal. Give me a call to organise timings.
  11. Thats shit, do you still have the original message you sent them? I had a similar incident with Dan from modyourcar.com.au where he went off at me, so i sent him the original message and remained polite and he realised he stuffed up and gave me a big discount and a really big apology. Not saying these guys will, but in order to get you rmoney back or the right part, it might be worth trying.
  12. CSA 14x6.5, come up good after a polish. 2 have the tyres shown, the other 2 were donated to a friend for burnouts
  13. Yeh ill give you all 6 for of the originals for $200 or $200 for the hotwires, all in good nick. Can call me on 0421780262. Call anytime you like. I am working on Sunday but its night time, so i could wake up to make more money during the day
  14. Set of 260 rims? Or rims that will fit a 260? I have some 14x6.5 hotwire rims. I also have a heap of 260 alloys (original) that i dont need (i got them incase of rego, but got wheels engineered instead). I believe the original offset was +13.
  15. I know here in canberra due to the age of the car (doesnt matter about the engine for some reason, but I dont have to have a cat converter. Not sure about Vic and others.
  16. Also, the power steering wont fit early zeds, its the wrong way around or something. We were talking about power steering options not long ago, http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,1087.0.html and http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,1050.0.html. I found that the MX5 steering seemed to be the easiest option and i found someone who sells the racks for $200!!
  17. I dont think i told you about the rack and sump problem, but it was piss easy to fix anyway. But cheers, much enjoyment has been had from it and it saved me a lot of money from the dickhead who did the rest of the engine conversion (i got ripped off).
  18. Yeh your right, they are a different chassis, my bad. Still, they arent weak. I dont have a cage (yet ) nor do i have any spot welding (yet ).
  19. No not at all, remember these engine mounts were made for the RB20 onto this chassis, they wouldnt have released it if it wasnt safe and although the 25 is a different engine and I do have a lot more power than stock, it was over engineered (if theres such a thing) and I havent had a problem at all and have checked the mounts and chassis area of it all and there isnt a problem. At the moment, I reckon if your going to do an RB conversion, then do the RB25 because they have come down in price a lot since i did it and they are easily the best bang for buck. I know a guy with a RB20 in a 240 here in Canberra and even after some work, still had nothing on me at stock. Im pretty sure its only a 2k purchase difference cost between them. end rant
  20. Found an older picture, but it shows how far back the engine is mounted, it leaves a lot of room infront of the engine and i mean a lot The wiring and all the piping was a bit messy but you should be able to tell how far back it is, im doing a four point weigh when the engine is back in (to get the right spring rate) and ill let everyone know what balance ratio it has given me.
  21. cool. I hear you with the susoension thing, im waiting for Bilstein to finish building custom rear shocks for mine and its already been 3 months for that and 5 months for the engine rebuild, staring to get frustrated, but im getting free labour with the engine so i cant complain too much
  22. Sounds good mate, any pictures? i went mechanical first and then ill sort out the looks, but it doesnt look bad for the moment. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2524481 its all there basically, im putting new 550cc injectors, bolt on flares and a front bar to run wider rims and better stability at higher speeds. The injectors are maxing out at about 6k at a 7500 redline so im missing out on a lot of power and revs there (not that it needs more power ).
  23. Hey mate, welcome. So your not going for original restoration then? Im interested to see how the 3.1 strokers go, I hear about them a lot, but no one seems to have done it. Scott
