Fuel wise, I will point out from experience, it will be a lot more than $1.50 as it is now, let alone in a few years. Back when fuel was around $1.00p/l, it was $1.50 in the centre of Aus... Just some advice from experience.

I have been wanting to post a time on here for like 4 years... And now I can!! 260Z 2 seater, RB25DET, 200rwkw, lots of suspension mods. Only did 9 laps (not in a row) and with a bit more practice and a few tweeks and some much better brakes I reckon I can get a whole lot faster. Wakefield Park 1:14.054

yeah, I was actually supposed to get a decent alignment before the nats, but I didnt get the car back till Thursday, so it was just a basic road alignment. I'm pretty crap when it comes to suspension stuff, I dont even know which one is the radius rod? Are they AKA castor rods?

Oh and the times sheet (mine is actually slightly wrong, including the spelling of my last name )

Well an update is in order. I recently installed a custom made spoiler (by Biscuitballs). Since I couldn't re use the indicator/park lights pod, I did a subtle front LED indicator. I'm not sure if I'll keep it or go to something more original looking, but it will do for now. I took her to the Nationals on the weekend with some good results, winning my class (though I believe I may have been the only one in my class lol). My best time was a 1:14.0 which I was stoked with for my first time on track with the car. Here are some pics: I have fixed a few small wiring issues, but one of them came back to haunt me, but it came at the lunch break, so I had it fixed for the first of the long track sessions.

Chev Z. Your zed looks awesome with the wide body. I walked past expecting to see a 350 chev or similar just from the sound, it sounds awesome. I am running the Hilux calipers and R31 rear disk setup (I had the silver and black 260Z with bolt on flares) and I found the Hilux calipers weren't so much the problem, it was more the pads I was using. Agreed the Hilux calipers aren't the best option, but for a cheap bolt on upgrade, they are pretty bloody good. The AZC Willwood setup are brilliant and with the conversion rate for then U.S dollar at the moment, I am really wishing I had the coin for it.

I wish. It was wearing Toyo RA1s (yes the old ones they don't make any more). I will go a lot faster next time I'm sure.

Hey Australia has a National Capital that has zeds too.... I'm keen too. Maybe we could approach some of the T.V channels to cover it and even get sponsors to help raise money too.

What an awesome day. My PB was 1:14.0 and could be a lot better. I came first in my class, though I think they gave me the wrong trophy when they couldn't find it. I'm pumped to go and enter more events now. There was some fantastic Dattos there and a big turn out for the racing. We had quite a good turn out from the forum. Big thanks to Z Car Club of Sydney for running the event, it went pretty smooth. There were a bunch of different categories for the concours and they were to suit all types, rather than the most original zed or what ever. I liked the way they did it, but then again, i have never been to any other concours. Hey GongZ, I didnt get to meet you there, but thanks for throwing that last pic of me (silver and black). I decided to call it quits on the last session only one lap in, when I went off at the top of the hill and heard a bad bang sound, but all seems good, probably my exhaust copping it again.

Definately interesting stuff. I would love to know the history of my car, I reckon it was rallied, or with the condition of the chassis, maybe even a paddock basher...

Hey, sorry for the late posting. ALL OF THE ABOVE PARTS ARE SPOKEN FOR. It has taken me while to get sorted, but I will do my best to send the stuff out next week when I get paid (the Nats are chewing into my funds, big time).

Maybe the wiring was different gauge or something between the 240 and 260, mine are far from dull with that same combo.

So would that effect the braking? Surely not? As you can no doubt tell, brakes are not my forte lol
