  1. Epic! Thanks heaps for that Mike!!!
  2. The bell-crank is worn also Mike The whole lot needs to be renewed & yes it must stay OEM! Thanks Mick - PM sent!
  3. Given that the Accelerator linkages (the plastic ball cups/rose joint things) on my 240Z are 40 years old, they are fairly worn & therefore fairly sloppy which makes it somewhat difficult to articulate the throttle - epically off idle. Does anyone know if new one's are available from anywhere? I assume Nissan would have them, but I'd rather try alternatives first... Idea's?

  5. It's still got drums on the back - WTF?!
  6. As the people who attended the Workshop day will attest, Bruce's old L24 is sounding a tad sad. Lucky Peter Mac is on the case with a nice reco'd, & slightly enhanced, L28 for Bruce's 240. The short motor is together & Peter is currently porting the head. Together with a very mild reground cam, new headers & exhaust system, an electronic dizzy & a good retune it should breath some new life into Bruce's Z!
  7. I have that section Shan - call me.
  8. Peter bought his 260Z from forum member 'GV260' 8-9 years ago as a neat, stock street spec 260Z. But it didn't stay that way for very long... It started off with a warmish L26 with about 150hp which was 'OK' for a while. Then Peter got a bit excited – an FJ20et race engine with a T66 turbo (+nitrous) was fitted produce around 650hp at the tires, which eventually ran 9.9 @139MPH at Calder.. This had the effect of slightly modifying the chassis alignment – which can kinda happen with stock S30 shells... Next the circuit bug took over & Peter decided that the Zed was going to better suited to going round some of Australia best circuits as a proper race car. Cue a massive rebuild over the next few years, culminating in the beast you see here. Body: Off-White colour Heavily stripped & lightend RS30 shell. Comprehensive 4130 CroMo ROPS. Flare are MASSIVE AlfaFG units moulded to the body Front guards are FG FG ultra light doors (3.5kg) FG Bonnet FG Hatch (2.5kg) FG front splitter Suspension: AZC full track pack (refer to AZC website) Modified BMW 3Series Power steering rack. 9. Ben @ Otomoto.
  10. Please post over some cocaine - sea freight is best (as long as it's sealed).
  11. The 260 was previously owned by Benny (Rev. Dave's son). The 240 is owned by Hayden B up in QLD.
  12. You smell funny & I don't like you. Happy Birthday.
  13. I had some adjustable LCA's made, with a rose joint on one end. Works great, but it's not easily adjustable at the track... Otomoto sell some genric adj camber strut tops, so this might be worth looking into & makeing fit in the Zed...
  14. THAT is the best way to go about it. You can actually search for a member that has posted in that section too - it'll normally show the journal up pretty quickly.
  15. Take one very rusty & chassis damaged 2+2: Then use a plasma cutter & angle grinder to cut through the back of the floor & the bottom of the A-pillers: Pull it apart & you have your very own Rickshaw! Yeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaa! Bigfella?! Your rear cut is ready!!! (Appoliges for the blurry photos).
  16. Such a shame - it's going to be too nice to drive...
  17. That's a pretty cocky user-name for someone who owns a 280ZX...
  18. ASL? Your other head needs a lip wax, BTW...
  19. Meh... I've fixed worse. What's the passenger side like Matt?
  20. I'll grab the panel steel Dave - just have to work out when I could grab it...
  21. To anyone who is coming & has a spare seat, Simon (MaygZ) needs a ride down (probably from Ballarat). My seat is taken, Scoot & Dale already have passengers, so can anyone else help?
  22. I'll stick with fine Garnet - 1/4 of the time spent blasting compared with Soda, minimal media used & no possible adverse reaction to new paint. Give a nice, fine textured finish on the metalwork for new paint to 'key' to as well
  23. I'm going!
