Hey guys , does anyone run r15 225 tyres under the 240z and if so with what offset i have standard offset rim with 215 which are pretty close and was wondering if anyone is running 225 with no problems . cheers Richard

Hi All for those who dont know the hanign rock car show is on tomorrow Im my opinion this is the best car show of the year!!!! its meant to be the biggest car show in the southern hemisphere!! Anyway hope im not the only zed out there ! I think theres details on the NDSOC website cheers Richard

There was one for sale in Melb a few years back for about the same money and the same colour i used to see it on a daily basis some lady in her 40s was driving it , it was a really nice car done really well , havin g said that wouldnt do it to my old girl!!

Hey guys You should try LSV i pay t $97 a year for comprehensive insurance for limited use , full salvage rights a windscreen once a year and agreed value of 15000 sight unseen, would probably insure for more if i wanted. The only catch is you have to be a member of a Car Club like NDSOC, but still pretty good. Cheers Richard

Ive fitted the 260z air conditioning intomy 71 240z i did have to modify the control levers for the heater controls , they now no longer move in straight lines across the dash ,the move in a slight arc motion but the system works really well !

Ive been to the hanging rock car show for the last 4 years and i reckon it would have to the best one ive been to i ve never had a problem getting in or out , especially if you go the back way over mt macedon and its a much nicer drive than all on the freeway.

Thanks again guys for organising the run was great to get out , i headed up through the black spur and reefton spur afterwards , good thing we didnt all go up there i got pulled over by about 20 cops( at the warburton turnoff in the reefton spur) including the EPA checking over every car and bike they 'd put quite a few off the road , ! anyway looking forward to the next one cheers Richard

Ive got a button exedy clutch but i didnt pay anywhere near that i think it was 360 including 2000lb pressure plate.

Hey guys just a thought there might be a bit of traffic on the road at that time would you want to leave any early so we dont get stuck with tourist traffic? i dont care either way , but other runs of been on up there the earlier you leave the better , in regards to slow traffic just my 2c cheers Richard

Must admit i competed in the DECA day and it was awesome fun came 4th in the VB challenge thanks to by handbrake chucking it in , but i was a awesome day , having said that chev z would have kicked my arse uf hadnt but it on the trailer to ealy, cant wait for the next event !!!!! cheers Richard

Hey guys i know where your coming from abouta modern day engines with more power but in terms of reliablility i ve done more thatn 100 000 k since i rebuilt my zed and havent had a problem with it , it gets around 8.5-9k per litre no matter how i drive it if the cops pull me over it looks standard i dont think you can bet the l series engine it will take a beating and keep coming back for more!!!!! unlike a lot of more modern combos!!!!!!!! just my thought cheers Richard

I had a run in with him too i rang him at lunch time for a price on a some stuff which he said he had, i rocked up after work where he only had half the stuff and then tried to double the price he quoted to me on the phone only 3 hours before!!!

Hey guys ive been doing some research on disc brake upgrades and have comes accross a few different options like the volvo disc brakes does anyone here run them and if so are you happy with them. I ve recently had a few experiences of running out of brakes especially on the way up to mount baw baw and i really dont want that to happend again, i know my brake fluid is a little out of date but i dont think you can ever have to much in the way of brakes. What do people recommend with out having to do to much modifications considering im running 15" wheels?
