  1. Sold P90 head and Kameari Twin Idler for sale. My preference is to sell these together as the head has been modified with a hard mount to suit the tensioner. Twin Idler has very low k's on it and looks like this: http://www.kameariusa.com/l6-twin-idler-gear/ The head has been ported, however I have no data on flow or whatever as I didn't do the job. Apparently it has new valves, guides etc etc. I can post, but preference is for pickup as this is obviously a large, heavy object. Pics in due course. $950
  2. SOLD F54/N42. Looks like the head has been re-coed. I don't know if it has flat-tops in it. $500. I have a pallet if you want to organise interstate transport etc. Located Western Suburbs of Melbourne (close to the city).
  3. I had the 260C one but I gave it away. What I do have is the Service Bulletins across the range from the early 70's. If you want me to bring it to Sydney in early Dec Gav, I would be more than happy for you to scan it for the group - it's more for "anorak" use than anything!

    Nardi Steering Wheel

Anyone know where new Nardi steering wheels can be purchased in Australia? The only guy I've found is an eBay shopfront and I'm not so sure I trust that. I'm looking for a wooden wheel for a mate to chuck in his mini. Cheers
  5. The different bumpers make for an interesting look.
  6. Classic and Sportscar magazine have a "what to look for" when buying a 240/260z here: http://www.classicandsportscar.com/guides It's at the bottom of the page and you need to register to download the pdf. As a beginner's guide, I'd suggest it almost be made a sticky on this site as there seems to be more people looking for cars every week.
  7. With all due respect, it's not ALL about supply and demand. It's about fear, greed, supply, demand, nostalgia and a host of other factors. The late 80's/early 90's classic car mania and eventual bust highlights that. As a classic car fan across multiple marques I applaud the fact that great cars which were uneconomic to repair or cherish, can now have the maintenance and restoration dollars thrown at them. If it wasn't for the boom/bust 25 years ago we would have a lot less E-Types etc on the road. This is an asset class which has no income and no capital value-add. As an academic exercise it's interesting to follow the path of "value", however for my mind, too much written space is given to the issue.
  8. They look great!

    240z buying advice

I would join your local Z club. A lot of cars change hands in the clubs and they never even see carsales, Gumtree etc.
  12. Phwoar. A tii Alpina - if you ever sell it let me know!
  13. SOLD
  14. I'm thinking of selling an F54/N42 complete L28 I have. It was bought from a member and he indicated that it was a good, strong engine and likely to have been built by a specialist in SA. I haven't run it and it's surplus to my needs now I've chosen to go in another direction. I'd like to get back what I paid, plus the transit to Melbourne, which from memory was about $700 all up. If you're happy with that, shoot me a PM and we can discuss it. I'm in Melbourne but can chuck it on a pallet if you want to send e-go over to my place... Gareth
  15. Okey dokey folks - this isn't going to happen, however thanks for the interest. I contacted Stewart and he explained to me why this was difficult and I wish to respect his choice in the matter. He sent me a detailed and kind reply, however in a nutshell he would like to have a post-purchase relationship with the buyer. In part, his reply explained that has seen too may people buy these headers and screw up the install. He wants buyers to have a good experience. Specifically, these headers were designed for the Kameari intake and without this, you are likely to have problems without his assistance. I still believe that although pricier than budget eBay knock-offs or US imports (which don't consider our lack of a steering column), these headers represent pretty good value when you consider the R+D which has gone into them. We're pretty lucky to have cutting edge suppliers retailing this stuff in our little backwater (not to mention the free assistance which is often given). Even without the deal, I'll still be supporting local retailers selling high quality gear and will hopefully have a set of these myself shortly. Cheers Gareth
  16. I would be more than happy to wait at least that long. These things typically take a while to organise anyway.
  17. Would anyone be interested in getting a group together and approaching Stewart Wilkins for a group buy on his headers? I was thinking of the good, $900ish dollar ones.
