  1. It's all good, I knew the intention was right.
  2. Loving the look of this car! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-datsun-240z-62/?utm_source=dailymail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2018-06-09
  3. I won those, happy days!
  4. Come back as in go up or down? I think it depends on the housing market and how much "equity mate" people have. If house prices keep sliding I see Classic Cars being harder to sell.
  5. So I have this spare 240z Amp gauge.. it was left out in the weather along with a dashboard I got for free. But so far I've got lots of good bits and bobs off of it. This gauge however has seen much better days. This is what the shunt looks like. It will need a good clean up but I don't think it's badly corroded.
  6. Thanks Jeff saw that, but with 4 Jeff's I forget who is who when donations come through! Post would only have gone missing if it wasn't submitted before I put it offline. Since I upgraded the live site and database.
  7. No spares. Unless you're interested in damaged/cracked ones?
  8. I see your avatar is missing, but right now the site is building up it's cache and explains why it can be a bit slow to respond. Once it finishes building it's cache back up it should be faster but also all avatars should return.
  9. Just an FYI the login form says you can login with username or email, but I've found it doesn't work with email at the moment. I will need to investigate why that is.
  10. If you're having trouble logging in, it might be related to the Display Name / Username merge. I actually kept Display Name as the forum software recommended this during the upgrade. Lurch had his Display name as "Lurch ™" so I've gone and manually set it to "Lurch". If others are having issues logging in, you can message me via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/36878942305/) or use the contact form on this site to reach my email. gavindoolan (at) gmail (dot) com.
  11. Yeah the old 1 was very stripped down. The new version is more like the Desktop and image upload now works which is a huge bonus as you can upload images directly from your phone. There was a way to do it before but it wasn't intuitive. The upgrade meant the old theme couldn't be kept, but I'm ok with that as it was a bit outdated, but it also reset a few settings and I'll need to go through everything again. A lot of things have changed so it will take some getting used to. But I actually think the new version of the software works a lot better than before.
  12. The old mobile site was very basic in terms of function. The new mobile version is much more like the desktop but optimised for smaller displays. Are you seeing something unexpected?
  13. #803 featured here. https://www.motoring.com.au/datsun-240z-nissan-370z-old-new-review-113041/
  14. Yes still rebuilding stuff. I like the mobile changes also! Much more user friendly. I haven't really thought about SSL, but could look into it.
  15. Testing image upload from my phone.
  16. Yes same here, will have to alter look and feel shortly. The whole software has changed as it's a bit rewrite but hopefully once everyone becomes used to it they will like it. Testing from mobile looks better already.
  17. And upgrade appears to have gone successfully.. Please let me know if you experience any issues?
  18. Planning to run some updates in the next 5 - 10 mins.
  19. Ahh I recall something about that now. Think with 260z's it's in the engine bay. I should have a spare 240z ammeter. I have just misplaced it.
  20. Got the Mikunis yesterday poor things will be gutted for spares. ?
  21. The best deals are the ones from word of mouth. Get on the blower and start asking around. Once it's online it's too late! Barn find hunter style. If you watch the show he goes to a local town and starts asking locals if they know about car guys nearby, 1 car guy knows another car guy and suddenly he is looking at rare hidden gems.
  22. Thanks Peter, actually I feel like I've been lazy in terms of site maintenance, long overdue to do this upgrade. It's been a slow migration process, but it will eventually make things more simple. Having gone from 3 individual bits of software down to 2 and soon to 1. It will mean 1 database, 1 codebase, and 1 set of backup's to perform. Thankfully! I know you've been itchy for some improved permissions on the site to perform certain tasks and I plan to make that happen after the upgrade. Also just an FYI, but I just upgraded the version of PHP running the site (new version requires a higher version) and everything appears to be working fine so far (no hiccups) but if you notice any odd kind of errors or messages please let me know? The database software version may also be upgraded shortly - but again I don't expect any major changes here as a result, will keep an eye on it and revert back if we have problems.

haha classic, rattle can job? I was going to powdercoat, but I think this would work well.
  24. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n268594433 Although it has 50mm Mikuni/Solex's and 3.0ltr motor. (50mm carbs are a fortune on their own).
