Hi everyone.

I've just joined the Zed club having just purchased a nice project 260Z that was on ebay.  I don't have pics yet but this is the ebay link and it should work for the next 60 or so days:

It didn't sell on ebay but I managed to negotiate a good price for what looks like a pretty good base car.  I would have preferred a non 2+2 car but couldn't seem to find any that are rust free and fitted my budget.  Regardless, I'm happy with what I've got.

I live in Sunny Qld (Sunshine Coast) and the car is in Sydney so a mate has picked it up for me.  He is a painter and will respray the engine bay back to the body colour before bringing it up to me in all it's dismantled glory.

Then my 10 year old son and I will finish the car and use it as a fun drive car.  I suspect it might be his 2nd car (his first will be something like a cheap camry that he can knock around without worry) if I can bear to part with it myself.  This way he won't harrass me to drive any of my other collectable cars PLUS he will learn a bit of old skool mechanics ... a win-win in my humble opinion.

Anyway, I look forward to learning more about these classic Jap sports cars as we go along.

Cheers

Yes Welcome  ;D I watched that one on ebay, had a swag of good bits with it. I must admit since owning a 2+2 after having my 2 seater for 13 years i am getting fond of the longer model. Perhaps i'll keep the 2+2 and sell my 2 seater! Should be an easy project for you to finish.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

This is my first Zed car so I'm looking forward to it.  I like the way they look and they way they sound and am looking forward to getting it back onto the road.

As I said in my intro, my mate in Sudney is repainting under the bonnet the factory body colour (white) as I'm not too keen on black under the bonnet.  Once he has done that he will bring it up here for us to finish off.

I used to own a number of RX4 Coupes and I still hanker for one (still have a bunch of  parts for them stashed away) but the Zed is a far more reliable and economical option for me .. and hopefully my young fella when the time is right.

Look forward to catching up with other local Zed owners when she's finished.

Cheers

Craig
