I get how it is all done, BUT how the effing heck do they do the crankshaft??? It's gotta be going into a drag car, but why no Uleh Brothers in sight ? ( doh it's in da good 'ol YooEsAy) Quote

Moderators Zedman240® Posted July 27, 2012 Moderators Posted July 27, 2012 Must be one hell of an eccentric shaft....bit of flex? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 27, 2012 Administrators Posted July 27, 2012 HOW DO THEY DO THE CRANKSHAFT ?? Custom made eccentric shafts. Kiwi RE is 1 place that makes them. http://www.kiwi-re.com/wwd_showroom_cat10.php *Edit proper link included. Quote
dat2kman Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Oh, I was thinking lots of BluTack, or 5 minute Araldite Hhmmmmm! Looking at my eccentric from my 13B it would not be that hard to machine one up on CNC Housings would be fun to seal, dont think you could use regular hardware store Booker rod ( long threaded run) Quote
d3c0y Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I wonder if this thing is going to have some harmonic issues? I'm a rotor fan, but i bet this will be one of those engines we don't hear of again because it will end up having reliability issues and gets shelved. Quote
