How to fix broken studs on bonnet vents?

Hello. Just got hold of a vented bonnet but a few studs are broken off. Anybody know any tips for fixing or repairing them?

Buy new vents...same problem on mine. Don't think they are too expensive brand new and probably work out cheaper than trying to fix them I think.

Havent seen one, so i cant comment 100%, but if its like the studs on the back of the headlight bucket, the way to do it is carefully grind them down flat, drill through where the stud is, insert a bolt or screw with the correct thread pitch/size ect.

CAREFULLY weld it up, ideally with a tig, then re-run the thread with a tap and die.

Its a fair bit of work and quite fiddly TBH.

The problem is that the metal studs have broken out of the plastic vents so cant weld or tap. Was thinking a strong glue or metalmend? Also how much were they new and where?

I had broken ones on my old bonnet, I just used sikaflex and then tightened the remainig bolts very gently.

I to have had this happen. Used a apoxie glue, and like Gareth says be carefull with tightening the nut. I have used a rubber hose cut 5mm long and fits tightly over the bolt thread instead of a nut. Gives the vent a bit of movement .
