vramjee91 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Hey guys, Wondering if it would be realistic to pick up a 260z 2seater shell for around 1k?? Not really fussed on the condition within reason. Got everything else for the car, so literally just a basic shell. Quote
luvemfast Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I doubt it. Even a cactus ridden rusty half missing Z is worth more than that. What purpose are you after? May I suggest a budget revision? Quote
MaygZ Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Even a cactus ridden rusty half missing Z is worth more than that. That's just what I bought and it cost a grand - 2 & 1/2 years ago Quote
AussieZed Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 My shell cost $2K with no internals.... and I don't think I paid too much, given it was already bead blasted and I could see the rust. It wasn't rust free though.... does such a thing exist?? Is your shell beyond salvaging?? R Quote
chartoo Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I paid 2k 4 years ago but those deals are a bit rarer these days as everyone is looking to get a 2 seater Quote
vramjee91 Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 cheers guys for all your responses! The reason why I asked is because I am currently doing a 2+2 (Pappas in the build page) and was just entertaining the idea of just dumping the 2+2 (Plus some changes) into the 2 Seater. But I guess im being too cheap. I think ill just have to finish the car as a 2+2 Cheers guys for all your input! If anyone can reconmend someone good that does rust repairs ?? Ive had a look at lurchs but he is not answering my calls..... Probably because he is flat out. But Yeh just wanted to really fix up all the rust so i can get the shell up and ready! Quote
C.A.R. Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I'm sorry mate, but I return ALL calls, PM's & Emails & I have not had one from yourself? Are you sure you had the right contact details? Quote
