OK gents I spoke to Sulio last night. He was happy to do the BBQ and will chat to Gavin today some time.

At present we are floating the dates for Sunday 12th or 13th of Feb or on our return from Tassie Wed 22nd or 23rd of Feb. This all depends on Gavin's availability of course. Hopefully we can get something going at late notice. The club has plenty of funds to cover the costs.

Maybe your place next time Ashley.  ;)

Cheers Craig

I'm busy 17th - 18th of Feb with family BBQ's so either the 12th / 13th or 22nd / 23rd would be ok.

I don't have the same mobile number anymore. So I'll PM Sulio my home phone number - until I get my Aussie sim card.

Loving the weather mate to be honest. Compared to Dublin I honestly can't complain at all.

Well I've been doing some odd jobs around the car since I've been back. Nothing major but a quick visit to Ash in Moorabbin Auto Spares and I picked up some spare parts and did a few jobs.

- New spark plugs

- New distributor cap

- New fuel lines - old ones were getting hard and had some signs of cracks etc.. with new jubilee clips.

- New fuel - very important :)

- New fuel filter

- Recently had a new rotor button

- Recently new leads

I also spent some time degreasing and steam cleaning the engine bay. It's come up alright I think. I also found some bits and pieces in storage like the MSA "Z" oil cap which I put on tonight for a bit of bling. I also found some "240z" stickers that go down the side. I figured I'd put them on and see if I like them. They can always be removed. Only cost $20 USD a couple of years back.

Some pics can be found here:

I started to clean up some old tail lights but they are gonna need some work alright.

I must say I definitely enjoy working on the 240z more than the RX-7, this could be because I have a garage but also i think it's just more of a pleasure to work on something so simple in terms of layout and parts etc..

Going to flush the old oil and coolant soon, there is also a leak from the gearbox. Probably the rear seal in it has gone to shyza. Not sure if I'll go crazy and pull the driveshaft to replace it or not though.

I also have some bullet mirrors my g/f bought many eon's ago for me. I want to install them but there is rust bubbles and holes hiding under the old mirror location. I'm thinking I'll just install them anyway as I'm sick of the 200B style mirrors but haven't fully decided yet. Bullet mirrors do kick arse though.
