So i can have the max tread

Under my rear tires

Well, i run 15x8 rims, with a +4 mm offsett, tyres are 225/50 x15, and i have trimmed back approx 5 mm of the inner lip of the rear guards, over a span of about 250 mm to stop the sidewalls getting cut up. Csr has been loweted.

If under you flares the guard has been cut away you could go as wide as the flare.

In 17 inch, i have no idea, but a low profile tyre wont work as well on our cars due to geometry changes while cornering etc

is that on a 2+2 they have a little bit more room than a 2 seater, not much but a bit more.

I run 16x8 +0 offset with 225/60's on my 240z, the guards have had the lips rolled.

I know Gordon runs 245's all round on his 240 track car, not sure of the wheel specs though but he does have coil overs.

Hi I thought Gordon ran 255's front and rear. But he has special mods on the front.

I have coil overs and run 255's on rear and 245's on the front. That is the max width you can run under a 2+2 with out modifying the guards with the perfect offset. That I know of.

Wow 255's thats huge Craig, you must be loving the power steering! I could be wrong with Gordo's size it's been a while since I had a look.

What size/offset do you run and what are these special mods you talk of?

Hi Gareth, Gordo has modified his strut towers to lean in dirtier to fit the Tyres under the guards.

Yeah took the car out yesterday and the power steering makes the car a pleasure to drive.

Not sure what my offsets are but I run 17 x 9" mags. I have flared the guards an extra 20mm all round now so will order some 18 or 19x10 for the rear as I can fit 275s now no worries. Maybe the magical 285's but we shall see. Just waiting on tatts to come in.
