daw260z Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Does anyone know if the S13W(B) calipers will work with the TP magna rotors. From what I have found the later model calipers suit a 25mm rotor and I think the TP magna rotor is 25mm but just wanted to check first. Quote
Sirpent Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I have the same calipers and used Peugeot 604 1978-82 front vented rotors. DBA part number is DBA-272 They are 1mm wider in radius to the original Z rotors, hat height is .5mm less than the Zeds and need to be re-drilled as the PCD is 140 compared to the Zeds 114.3. Hope that helps Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted August 31, 2011 Moderators Posted August 31, 2011 Discs have to be drilled to match the PCD of the hub and not the stud pattern of the wheel; Front wheel drives have discs that go over the wheel studs which usually have the same PCD. Quote
PZG302 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 The centre holes of the Magna rotors also need to be enlarged by about 3mm, well they do on mine anyway for the last three sets of rotors i've used on the race car. last set i had modified to suit cost me about $80 each to get all the machining done at a pretty quick turn around, so you maybe able to get it done cheaper. Datooy Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Yep Im doing the same thing, Have got the rotors re drilled and the centres enlarged bolted on the 240Z hubs but the callipers need a spacer made up to enlarge the space inbetween them cause it at the moment it wont clear the rotor. like it doesn't bolt on and it would be off centre if it did,. Anyone? Quote
NZeder Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Just to clear things up. 1. The wheel PDC of the zed is 114.3 x 4 (or 4.5" x 4 for old old old school measurements) 2. The factory rotor mounts to the hub at the back 3. The factory rotor mounting PDC is NOT I repeat NOT the same as the wheel mounting PDC 4. The factory rotor mounting is 103mm PDC x 4 from the rear of the hub You can use a 114.3 x 4 PDC on the rotor only if doing a slip over setup like using the Holden Commodore VT rotors - but then the hub needs the outside turned down just a little to fit inside the rotor in this slip over setup. If looking for a rotor to mount to the rear of the hub like the factory setup then you need 103mm PDC x 4 Quote

Anyone? You are supposed to space the rotor towards the caliper. Did you read the Hilux FAQ? Quote
