FLEXZED Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 "What you see is what you get" But ! Look closely and consider the value of what you are buying. First this car is not rusted, it is in a red oxide primer having been completely media blasted inside, outside and underneath a number of years ago while the remaining panels are straight original parts still in their factory color. There are no hidden repairs, very minor rusting in some easily repaired places along with some very slight damage that will easily knock out. The car is an original 1973 240Z, and comes complete with the original matching numbered motor. All parts required to bring it back to a road going car except for any rust or repair sections you need come with the car. Consider that a 240Z 2 seater such as this with the amount of VISABLE body work required if it was all bolted up would probably fetch $7000 plus. Then consider that the cost to media blast the car without causing panel damage and distortion would cost you well over another $1000, and if you needed straight original non molested guards, bonnet doors etc you would probably need at least another $1000 Here you have a car that's in enthusiast restorable shape, not something that needs a trade person to charge you a fortune to straighten out. If you take all that into account I think $7500 isn't a big ask, this car could be sitting in your garage tomorrow. Quote

Sirpent Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Loui Relax Bro, young Sam (53-681) cant see the value in anything that has less than 4 seats, and at least your hunk of junk has moved off the grass while his is obviously stranded with electrical gremlins. Sam, you have a lot to learn, respect and an appreciation that what may seem junk to you is actually a very collectable piece of machinery should be high on your list. Quote
luvemfast Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Relax John. I think he's taking the piss. We all know it's worth at least $250 Quote
