Hi Zedsters,

After around two years of reading posts and never having anything to contribute, I can proudly say that I am the proud new owner of a 260z 2+2.

I will post photos eventually, however my plan is not to make it concourse worthy (though pretty); but to make it into a hardcore NA track car. Don't worry, all the trim is stuffed anyway so it will not be wasted.

It comes with coilovers,  2x l28's, bolt in roll cage, heaps of rust and a lot of heart.

My build will be in stages with the first step being new rear brakes, new clutch master and slave, a tune, and a plan to stop the rust.

Once it does its first lap around wakefield park, the next stage will begin. But that involves a complete rebuild, strip down to build a 240z killer.

Build will occur in Newcastle, so anyone around the area who always wants to flog their Z but never brought themselves to it, should get on board and give me a call

Speak to you soon

Welcome.

Are you in the Newcastle MG Car Club?

They have good tracks days organized.

My mate i sold my other 2+2 is doing a fair bit of track work this year. Had a few runs at Wakefield.

Be interested to see what yours can do.

When it comes to buying a "Z" and undertaking it as a project, The Eagles summed it up the best in a song...........

"Welcome to the Hotel California, you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave"

All the best and welcome.

Cheers

Welcome..

I was wondering what happened to that zed! It belonged to a NDSOC member here quite a few years ago (8-10?).. a friend and I bought it off him and took some parts off. It had a good L28 with triple Webers. Still had the rust back then but had some quick "repairs" done. Still have some pics of it here somewhere. Good to see it will be running again.

The last owner was Adam Ross who bought it off a mechanic - does this ring a bell? I'd love to see the old pics if you can find them!!!
