Scoota G Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) Bit of a development upgrade for all the race inspired guys or people who like to fill out the inside of the wheel. The brackets are again reworked R31 units which allows the use of a 300MM Rotor at the rear. You can see the difference in the rotors in the last picture which it's obviously substantial size and would require 17" rims for fitment. GregTas Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 (edited) Hi, I'm sorting out the R31 brakes on my car and was after someone to do a review of what I've done because with the caliper on the front and angled down a bit it looks like the half shaft bolts would clip the the handbrake cable. Can it be done better than this? I haven't yet drilled the backing plate and so can still alter the position of the caliper if there's a better way to go. Thoughts? Perhaps the solution is a new angle bracket for the cable angled up a bit? If that is the fix then I can drill and mount it all and just sort the handbrake when it's back in the car. GregTas Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Having gone through the thread again I have realised that where I've put them may no longer be seen as the best position. I might try caliper further up at about 10 o'clock and see how that works out. I'm using a complete bracket and so have to sort it before I can put my new bearings in. Quote
