Nismo L14 Engine - Very Rare

Hi guys,

I stumbled across this today and had to post it.

Only $19,000 but hey it is rare and someone in Japan would more than likely buy it I think.

 

Anyone know anything about this engine? I think Errol Smith might, Lurch do you know?

so is it a 4 cylinder or 6? looks to be 4 right?

to be fair aren't there heaps of n/a race motors out there in the 70's that were able to make 200hp crank?

 

I've heard of vdub and toyota motors doing that as well...........I guess what I'm getting at is $19K for a classic motor + rare is abit much if it didn't stand out by far back in the day.

 

maybe it's rarer than I think.........

It's an enthusiasts motor.

But in the end it's only worth what's someones prepared to pay for it.

This is the 3rd time that it has been listed on "Trademe"

 

About 12 months ago there was just a head with no valves, timing gear etc and he was asking around $4000 I think - I was told by Errol of datrats.com.au that it would cost about $10K for a complete head that is ready to go. So at $19K it is an ok buy.
