garvice Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Hey guys, Just wondered if anyone in brisbane had a sandblaster and wouldn't mind doing a quick job for me. Just finished my engine mounts and would like them sandblasted before painting them. Cheers Quote
Scoota G Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 I bought a Portable one with the hopper on top from Supercheap for $50. Worked a treat. Quote

garvice Posted May 6, 2011 Author Posted May 6, 2011 But then I would have to buy that 3 phase compressor I have been eyeing off. HA. Quote
RB30X Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 I bought the biggest single phase I could get and it works fine. Quote
260DET Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 No sand blaster but soaking stuff in a caustic soda water mix works for me, use eye protection etc of course. Quote
RB30X Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Sorry to tag on here but I bought an underdriven balancer for my LS1 for really cheap because it experienced first hand how bad the Brisbane floods were. Anyway I've sand blasted all the surface rust off it and it looks clean but what would you use on billet steel to bring it up shiney again?? Quote
peter t Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Got one, works great on small jobs. PM Me. Home tomorrow after 11am. Quote

sexual_sushi Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Hey mate, not sure if it is up to the task but I have one of those crappy supercheap ones too. I've just been "soda blasting" with it although I think it came with some sand... Quote
