Scoota G Posted June 30, 2011 Author Posted June 30, 2011 This may be a stupid question. Do you weld all the way along the seems or just leave them as welds every couple of inches Thanks Matt Well this is really one of those yes and no questions. Around the edge near the door it has holes drilled and is puddle welded but in the centre the sheet metal overlaps at least 10 mm. Then it's welded every 50 mm for about 20 mm. And then (dude where's my car) it's welded underneath in the gaps between if that makes sense. It's not a complete weld as such but doing a complete weld would cause too much distortion. It gets covered in seam sealer anyways. Thanks for the encouragement guys, i can't wait to get this one back together so i can finish my own. Quote
Scoota G Posted July 4, 2011 Author Posted July 4, 2011 Just a few more days and this pony will be done. Fuel tank, dash and interior plus 3 more rust repairs to go. Seeing this car coming back together is hard to describe. Quote

. Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Nice work. I hope my engine starts that easy when I finish it. Quote
Scoota G Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 I should've filmed it flaming out when the dizzy was set 180 Degrees out, the motor never came apart but she fired up quick and not a drop from underneath. Couldn't be happier with the result. Quote
Scoota G Posted July 15, 2011 Author Posted July 15, 2011 I took the 67' Mustang for a Roadworthy and as i suspected it didn't pass but . . . . no rust was to be seen. A new set of tyres, mufflers and some other mechanical do-hickeys and she'll be right to roll. Oh and Dale dropped around so i took him for a quick spin, rubber burning action, the 289 windsor really has some poke. Onto the next project. Quote
Scoota G Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 The Mustang came back this week for a tune, plugs and oil and it also got attacked by the side of a stationary house. So out with the tools to get her classic lines back in shape. Quote
