peter t Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 What are peoples thoughts on the twin Weber 32/36 DVG complete set up available from Redline on E-Bay. Half the price of triples with all the bits you need included for only $780.00 + frt. New triples start $1575.00 +++ for all the bits you need. Keep in mind this is for a road car only. Quote
Wayne G Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Just pay someone to set up your carbs correctly! I have used these Weber DVG before with some success but you are unlikely to improve from what you have with these Webers and it will require someone to set them up once installed, so pay someone to set up your carbs correctly. I know some trustworthy local people to us Peter so pm if you want their contact details. Quote
1600dave Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 For a road car, if I was spending that much on carbs, I'd spend it on getting a pair of SU's restored and properly tuned. Quote
peter t Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 I had one of these carbies on a 1200 once and it was the best. Bought it brand new and cost around $400 from Autobarn a lot of years ago so $780 for a twin setup seems cheap. Quote
Scoota G Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I like them Because they are different and i think the sound they would make would be just as unique. I say go for it, just no air cleaners through the hood Quote
peter t Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 All is OK and looking better. Did the old hose trick in the ears after looking at a you-tube thing on tuning SU carbies and will be able to get it to an expert for proper tuning. Have a contact supplied by Wayne G and is just up the road. Just have to find the time to get it there when it is not raining up here. Don't want to get my nice paint getting wet. Quote
