Well **** me, flicking through the channels this arv around 4:3-pm and I see helicopter footage of a tsunami hitting Sendai. It was unbelievable live footage with no editing. There is going to be hundreds or thousands dead.

And China had an Earthquake and Tsunami yesterday, NZ had an earthqauke recently.

What is the world coming to. Is this the gearing up for 2012??

When I was a kid, you never heard of tsunami's before.

And volcanoes where around when the dinosaurs were, now they're going off all over the world.

Sad very sad world events.... ???

And so as the planets align again after 5ooo years and the Mayan calender expires Im guessing we will see some more surprises...if what they say is true

Pfft! ;) I've read the book (The Bible) and it's all there, though many believe it's a musty old history book however it's full of current affairs and no these disasters are not the wrath of an angry God!  Very sad for the people of Japan, this kind of disaster is devastating.

This is tragic,

However looks like the Pacific ring of fire which stretches from the South Pole via NZ all the way up throuh Japan etc is very active which means one thing, the Australasian or Pacific plate is on the move, if the Hawaian Islands flair up with new volcanic activity then the tip of the pacific plate is likely to see the next activity as it pushes up against the Atlantic plate, that tip is California, and the San Andrea fault line is the boundary.

Id be worried if I was in that part of the world in the coming months.

Unlucky me! I'm stuck in Sapporo right now.

My sister and I were going to take the shinkansen from Aomori to Tokyo this afternoon and we would have been halfway between Sendai and Tokyo when it would have hit. Fortunately we didn't but now we await an opportunity to return to Australia. Could be a few days yet.
