Well......i knew there was a reason I always tucked my car in the shed.....even if it required moving everyone else's......

left it out today (on the street) and promptly hit by someone leaving their drive.....

At least they let me know their details.....the last time it happened (outside the mechanics no less...) no details were left and it was my 'fault'.

not the way to welcome the weekend.

Always the way...  Hope the damage is not too bad, and repaired to your desired standards.

Meanwhile, my girlfriends Peugeot 306 which is not required anymore, is worthless to sell (would be worth 6 times as much written off), and has a bunch of mechanical issues, is parked on the street.  Last weekend, a driverless Commodore rolled out of a driveway at the top of the court, went straight PAST the Peugeot on our narrow street (must have missed it by inches), and smashed into a car in a driveway at the bottom of the court.  I hate that French piece of crap.

I am with Shannons with choice of insurer....so as soon as I get the rest of the details it should be fine.

Front driver side guard caved in at the front from just before the middle of the wheel arch with some minor denting and scratching to the headlight cone too........bumpers seem to still be straight, only concern (apart from fixing the bloody mess) is whether any of the front suspension or frame has been affected.....to my eyes no but will need to check anyway.

gives me something to do with the week off before starting my new job.........

I know how that feels Huw; my brother once was kind enough to borrow my zed and then return it and saying "oh by the way, somebody backed into your bonnet".. he left it out the front of hs mates house and an guy in a ute didn't realize he was rolling backwards until my zed's bonnet stopped him. At least he left his details..That was 3 months after I had it re-sprayed. It tends to piss you off most of the time. I learned, never leave it on the street...no matter what!
