bobs260 Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Hi Guys, I have a manufactured hole in my block in the front on the manifold side. I need to know if it is a PCV valve that fits into this hole and what its part number is. My local Nissan dealer can't find it on his microfiche and I need a description or part number so I can get the part can anyone help. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted January 29, 2011 Moderators Posted January 29, 2011 Sounds like you are talking about the hole for the steel tube that is for crank case ventilation. PCV valve is located on the balance tube between the carbs. Is it a hole about 20ish mm in diameter under the thermostat housing? Take a pic if you can to make sure we are talking about the same thing.. Quote
bobs260 Posted January 30, 2011 Author Posted January 30, 2011 We are talking about the same part. A accurate description or part no. would be great as Nissan can't find the part to see if ant are available. Thanks for your help Quote
gilltech Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 As Zedman240 says it's for a simple steel tube projecting out of the block, to which a rubber hose attaches that connects in turn to the PCV valve fitted on the intake manifold. It's a simple tight push fit. There's no part # stamped on it. Someone on this forum who has parted out a motor or two should be able to provide one for you. Quote
Scoota G Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Someone on this forum who has parted out a motor or two should be able to provide one for you. Hey that sounds like me. This one is off a patrol motor. Lol just drop a cone in it and you ready to smoke um peace pipe! Quote

bobs260 Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Guys, thanks for all the help. The part was supplied by a Qld. Z Club Member. I am now after the PCV valve at the other end. Anyone able to help with that. All help greatly appreciated and accepted. Quote
zeds4ever Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Better to buy a knew one Bob as used units are usually pretty stuffed i've found. Repco should have them if not they will get one for you. Regards : Alan. Quote
bobs260 Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Thanks, I will try around the traps. The one I got from Repco was the wrong thread. I'll just keep trying. Quote
