G' Day Fellow Melbourne ZClub Members!

Clear your calendars for the much awaited (and recently delayed) 'A Sunday in September' Cruise on SUNDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER.

****This will be a mixed car event****

Also remember that all partners are welcome!

Plenty of notice, so no excuses for non-attendance!  :roadrage:

The best chance for us to have uninterrupted roads and minimal bottlenecks is to have an early start of a 7:00am meet and this will also allow the cruise day to conclude at about 1pm (unless we all mutually decide to extend the route further).

Please feel free to post your attendance and I will update the list above.

(Attendance will need to be advised of asap so that we can make bookings for lunch at our destination).

Below are the details of the run which consists of a spirited route concluded by a brunch to refuel ourselves:

Hi Guys , a nice early start will be good to miss all the traffic, there are going to be a lot of cars from the Melb zed club, I'm looking forward to meeting these guys , see you there Cheers Gordon.

Which car will you be driving Gordo? I might bring mine out (if it's finish) for its very first run..........

If you want me to bring the zed I can. But I am taking it to De ca the next weekend. Should be OK but if weather is a bit ordinary I will take the back up car. Cheers Gordon.

Thinking of coming, but might meet up in Lilydale. What time do you think you'll be passing through there?

Better check with the boss though first, as DECA is the following week  ::)

You know how it is, trying to balance family and play time

Wow what an awesome drive day Lurch. We had a great time. Some fantastic Zeds came along not to mention maybe 4 late model GTR's. One of those GTR's and I had a blast through the hills around Reefton Spur and he said he could only just stay with me through the hill's. His motor was beefed up around 50klw and he only had it a few months. Said he could only just reel me in on the straights when we were going for it. I am pretty happy with that. Maybe I don't need one just yet. What I do need is some power steering though. I better get off my butt and keep the work going.

Anyway these guys seem like I nice bunch. Hopefully we can get some momentum going and rope some of them in to coming up to Thredbo. Will see how that goes but will definately be doing another drive day with them. It's nice to be around some drivers more crazy than me. Makes me feel sort of normal. Well almost. First drive in the beast since Tassie in Feb. I almost forgot what a rush it is.

Thanks for coming guys. I've never see so many nice nissan datsuns on the one drive day. Some of those 370zeds where Hot!! and lots of them, I will be keeping an eye out for the next drive. Eroll said he could not get over how easy my car gets the job done. I must say that was the most fun I have had driving since Tassie, and then to get a littel chuckel from Eroll every time we nailed a corner was just Gold . See ya next time. Gordon.
