FLEXZED Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 hi guy starting to build my engine so i am looking at a rb 25 VCT head my question is will this head fit a rb30/ VL block thanks in advance Loui Quote
C.A.R. Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Yes it will. But you don't need to fit the TC head! The SOHC head will provide enough fasts, Loui Quote
NZeder Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 That mod (25 vct head on 30 bottm end) is well documented on the interwebby there is a pdf you can find if you google As Lurch has stated you can get enough power from the single so unless you are going for the look you can leave the single cam head on for now Quote
sco_aus Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 No need to google, ill email it to you, just give me your email address... Quote
chartoo Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I'll take a copy of that pdf also please chartoo21@yahoo.com Quote

DatPilot Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 In 8 hours I bolted on about $2000 worth of ebay/calaisturbo/R31forum parts, output of 190rwkW and 360Nm of torque..... at 10psi.... single cam RB30e FTW! the stainles tuned length highmount manifolds surely make a difference, as well as the 'hypergear' turbo, (cheap stuff but had 12 month unlimited warranty) Quote
DatPilot Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 In 8 hours I bolted on about $2000 worth of ebay/calaisturbo/R31forum parts, output of 190rwkW and 360Nm of torque..... at 10psi.... single cam RB30e FTW! the stainles tuned length highmount manifolds surely make a difference, as well as the 'hypergear' turbo, (cheap stuff but had 12 month unlimited warranty) This was on a mates R31 in Victoria though..... It is a billionity times easier than turboing an L series though! Plus parts are EASY to find. My L- series setup has taken 3 years to find the right bits! (and its still not done) Shoulda just gone RB30 from the start. Now I have a VG30det and Z32 5 speed sitting in the garage.... hmmm what to do Quote
