Rotissorie Wanted

Wow, first post in the new section.

 

Does anyone have a rotissorie to suit a Zed that is taking up space in there shed?  Do they want to sell it, or rent it out for a long time (I work slow but steady)?

 

I know I could make one, but having never stood in front of one, I don't know enough about them to make one.

 

Besides it would be nice to help a member out by helping clean up there shed. 

 

If not has anyone had any dealings with one of the commercially made ones?  Which ones?  Any good?

If you want to see one or three in action, a visit to Rob at the Z Factory you will see a flock of them. If you are game to make one if you can't locate one that is, grab some dimensions and a welder.

hey mate not hard to build just built one , 2 engine stands and same tube steel, if you were in sydney,

i would be happy to build it with your help ,

gives me a chance to try out the new mig

I made one with a hacksaw, angle grinder and an oxy set - as mentioned its not too hard (especially if you have better tools than I did, any sort of electric welder would have made it much easier and quicker  ).

 

Here's the plans for mine, to suit a 180B SSS. A "Z" shouldn't be too much different.

 

With the shell at the correct height for it to be  "balanced", where it rotates freely without being top or bottom heavy, I have plenty of clearance to the floor. I could probably get away with taking maybe 100mm out of the upright at each end, but it works fine as-is.

Have one but a bit far away. I can send you pics of mine made from two engine stands and some angle and square steel. Knocked it up with my little welder. Peter Allen orignal.
