chartoo Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Thanks for clearing that up Mr Camouflage. I didnt understand the club to be like that. I just thought it was a plain internet forum. Not all that extra things. Keep the good work up Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I disagree Craig - that is what (the ever increasing) TAC insurance is for. I had to research what TAC is, since its not called that over in WA. It doesn't cover motorsport events, such as the one the WA Z Register participates in at Murdoch Uni Carpark. So if a car was to hit a spectator, TAC would not pay out, and the spectator would have to sue whomever their layer went after for damages (the driver, the club, the event organisers). Which is why the WA Z Register is affiliated with CAMS for the public liability cover they provide. TAC would not cover our show and shine "Z Day", if someone tripped over something and injured themselves. Australians aren't as litigation mad as some other countries, but having a little insurance doesn't hurt. Craig, if you know of any other Z registers around the country, please send me contact details. I don't know of any except the one that is at www.wazregster.com Quote
C.A.R. Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Ahhh... That's a slighty different kettle of Pauly's fish, mate Quote
620Z Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 And that's why we have CAMS membership which has insurance to cover exactly what you are talking about. Something we are very well aware of over here. It would appear we are talking about two different things here. Competition sprints on a track, yes of course you need to be a member of a CAMS affiliated Club to ensure adequate insurance cover exists. But Club drives and social events are a different kettle of fish. Maybe you needed to be more specific in your initial question Mr Camo. Quote
