acf321 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Ok .. I've decided to get a L24 for my project, so accordingly am gauging interest in selling the existing motor. I have an L26 (P30 block) with E88 head. Carbs are triple 40mm Webers, has warm cam, Genie extractors and Electronic dizzy. I have not driven the car with this motor, but I can confirm it does run and appears to be fairly warm. I have an L26 box that is attached to the engine that I might consider selling as part of the deal, but equally this might find its way onto the new motor if I don't have interest. Not sure on price, but I am selling to part fund my new L24. Drop me a line if you have interest. Rgds Adam. Quote
pauly_adams Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 pm sent sorry about the carb question i didnt read the post very well. cheers pauly Quote
NZeder Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 L24 = P30 block without the exhaust valve recess L24 = E88 head or Early cars E31 L24 = 73.7mm stroke L26 = 79mm stroke L24/26 = 83mm bore So why don't you just find a L24 crank, rods and put those inside the block/head you have? You want the larger exhaust valves for a performance L24 anyway = you need the valve recesses in the block = late P30 aka L26 block required Then just restamp the L26 block to read the original L24 engine number and L24 not L26 that would work for me. stewk240 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Yeah, how much for the weber and manifold that we ALL want?...hehe Quote
S30Mike Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Damn, looks like i was late with the triples setup inquiry too. Quote

acf321 Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 Look, the whole lot can go and I'm reasonable on price, but I'm waiting to speak to my builder tomorrow to get his quote on my L24 ... If like Mike said, we can use any of this for my new motor, then i'll let you fellas know what I can part with. I know what I was quoted for 45mm webers, so if you are genuinely interested in my 40's and inlet manifold (that is "CANNON" brand stamped) then drop me a PM. I'd prefer to sell in one lot though as the engine is a genuine goer. At the end of the day, it'll probably be the lot (assuming I do not recycle anything) .. so if you have genuine interest, just drop me a PM and tell me what you want and what you want to pay. I should have more clarity on my L24 by Friday (and again if I want to keep anything) Also got a very cool front f-glass spoiler, 15" performance alloys with rubber (see my pics on 'the brown hornet') and probably good nick OEM steering wheel that i'll be moving on as well. Brabham Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Hi, Does the motor include the box? Thanks. Quote
acf321 Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 At this stage, it does not include the gearbox, as I am likely to need this for my L24. Quote
acf321 Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 Warm L26 still for sale. See earlier for full specs, and PM me if you have interest. The engine will be sold. Cheers Quote
