Toecutter Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 I am happy to say that I have bought a new house that I recieve the keys for on the 29th of May. I will have no garage so that means my Z will be either under a tarp in the back or at my folks place for a few months whilst we renovate. Good bye Carnegie hello Kensington! Sulio Quote
C.A.R. Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Good bye Carnegie hello Kensington! Oh, well la-ti-da... Quote
Natez Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 welcome back to the westside, hope u and nicole are happy with the purcharse, and save some money to play with the Z over the next few months rather than all of it going on the house.. Quote
Toecutter Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 Thanks Nate, Well I've already got some slotted and cross drilled DBA front rotors on order so $320 there and I am still planning on doing the rear disc upgrade asap, then theres the L28 I want to get into. I think that motor will have to just keep sitting on the stand for a little while yet, but I'll have to build a garage at the back. Quote
warrenz Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Hi Welcome to Kensington, another Z in the neighbourhood. Warren Quote
Toecutter Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 Hi Warren, Thanks mate. I did see a nice blue 2 seater (not sure if 240 or 260) on Macauley Rd about a week ago, wonder if it was a local car? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted April 30, 2006 Administrators Posted April 30, 2006 Well done mate you finally bought a place. I still don't know why you were so desperate to move away from me lol... Let me know what your planning to do with your rear brakes. Quote
Toecutter Posted May 1, 2006 Author Posted May 1, 2006 I want to give the R31 set up a try. I know of a wrecker that has a couple. What do you think? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted May 1, 2006 Administrators Posted May 1, 2006 Yeah I think the R31 calipers are the way to go personally. I was looking at R30 skylines before thinking that's what I needed when I went to centre road wreckers and they all had the bracket welded to the live axle. I have a friend who works at a brake specialty shop and can get discs and pads quite cheap. Who knows maybe he can get reco calipers too? Quote
warrenz Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 There are a couple of 260's in the area but never been in a position to catch the car parked or to catch the driver. Warren Quote
Lynton Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Hey Warrenz sounds like you need a bit of turbo pumping if you can't catch one of those 240/260z....need a loan of my S15 next time eh! Lynton Quote
