BobsYourUncle Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I seem to be missing a part of some sort from near the front right wheel on my 2+2, as per the attached photo. On the left side there seems to be a nut or something holding this bar in place. Could someone tell me what I'm missing exactly, what it does, and where I'd get another one? I'm driving blind until the books I've ordered arrive, so any help will be appreciated. Quote
mossy Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Looks like your missing a rubber tc rod bushing as well as the nut, give Warren at allzparts a call he should have them. Quote
Scoota G Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Yea thats a radius rod and it stops the track control arm from moving back and forth... I purchased new rubbers directly from Bursons. Make sure to ask for the polyurethane ones. Quote
Mr240z Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 NISSAN - 240Z (FAIRLADY) 70-74 Radius rod F 4 N81147 1 12.8mm I.D. $53.77 Thats the Noltec Partnumber N81147 Quote
BobsYourUncle Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 Ok, so radius rod = tc rod? I've talked to Warren at allzparts, looks like he can fix me up with a replacement. Thanks guys. Quote
BobsYourUncle Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 Ok so I haven't got this yet for reasons I won't go into, and I'd like to confirm something before I go ahead and get them - the Noltec part Mr240z mentioned, does I.D. = internal diameter = diameter of radius rod? If so, then don't I need the 16mm ones (based on measurements of the radius rod in the car)? thanks again. Quote
C.A.R. Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Don't forget you've got a crush tube going through the centre of the bushes... Quote
BobsYourUncle Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 Yeah I haven't. I just need to confirm which size bushings I need. Quote

Thats the kit I brought for my 240z and its was right..By my catalogs there's only 1 part No. Edit; Bob head down to your local Autopro, Repco etc...Ask them to have a look at their Noltec catalog And see if there are 2 part No's ...I know there are 2 size's for something in the front just can't remember which bush it was....
