So after years of patiently waiting I finally have my stroker crankshaft and rods! I got them both for about $400 total, delivered from NZ to Aus (at least half if not more than it should have cost me). The cranks alone usually go for $500us these days. Extremely big thanks to NZeder and Zrevival for organising things on the new zealand end and selling the parts in the first place and even bigger thanks to spammaster who got it shipped over in a container with some of his spa's for absolutely nothing! Really can't thank you all enough :)

No problem :) just if do it again next time I will charge for the box that we made to put the crank into :)

One the down side is that locally here in NZ LD28 cranks are now harder to find - complete engines are still around but just the crank...not so much.

Thanks nzeder, i think i transferred an extra $50 aus to your mate here for your hassle when you were boxing the parts up? Hopefully I didn't just dream that :S I'll check my statements. If it was more than that let me know, I don't want you to be out of pocket and like I said you and spammaster have saved me a lot of money :)

thats bad news about the cranks though, i was considering getting more out :(

Well I am sure I could still find some more if need be ;) just that they might cost more now that is all as I would have to get a complete engine, strip the cranks and then load up the blocks and take to the scrape metal guys for some $$

You'd be mad just to send the cranks, IMHO.

Though I guess a LD28 short motor would be rather expensive to ship...

Yes a longer stroke sleeved LD28 block with a L20B front cover, N42 head and custom head bolts, and L20B rods now that would give a good rod/stroke ratio bottom end.

You need custom head bolts as the LD28 have a M13 bolt not M12 like the normal L28 bottom end - can and has been done ;)
