Hey guys Went and saw my rwc Fellla again today and of the few things wrong with the car one i am stumped on ><

Since its a 240z, And i used my 260z's guards ( Straight and rust free =] *now )  now have front indicator holes that i have already painted around ><

the 3 options i can think of or have been told, is to strip back and redo the panel with welding in the hole.. - I dont wanna...

Second is Wire up some indicators there - Difficult? - Plan on going to fiberglass 240z Guards later on so would prefer not to change any wiring...

3rd Was of Dave and it was to plug the holes up with some sort of rubber bung?

Anyway any ideas? need this sort of quickly so i can be reged in time for the next Cruise... But will go on permit if need be! xP

I thought you guys in melbourne didn't need a RWC...

If so just go find someone that is easy on the inspection "a few extra $$ should do it"

Hi,

I think its best to wire it up for now. I think its just a loop with the front indicators.

Can anyone confirm this?

Just whack on a couple of those "shopping list" type stickers over the holes...after the RWC remove them!

The rwc fella Isnt to much of a problem hes fine with a hole, But after you get your rwc done you have to take it to Vicroads Centre so they can check your numbers such such, And theres where the problem would be i think xP

put a badge over the holes. make them decorative?

I Would Never have thought of that! So simple yet so Effective Thanks guys looks like thats the option! Ill find some old 240z Badges or something, Thanks heaps guys!

while vicroads claim they need to look at the car, i've NEVER had this be the case

guys in america seem to use indicators of an excel as a flush mount replacement, so you could always get some and paint them body colour - or just paint the stock indicators

I agree the RTA won't give a hoot if you have a RWC in your hand. Like even said they probably won't even look at it.

I had a Yellow Unroadworthy ticket only the other week. For suposedly bald front tyres. Put some other on and went in. They didn't look at anything alse. Luckily. A guy behind me in a GTR must have been done for being to low. they ran a clearance thing underneith for which he failed again. (only just). My bloody car was much lower than his. Ha Ha. I just started her up and got out of there.  :D But yeah I reckon they will probably only go over the problems highlighted. Like the girl said. they don't have time to do anything else.
