nuclear_z Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Hi guys, Does anyone have the tool, or know where I can get the tool, for the coilovers in the pic to change the spring height??? Cheers for the help Thomas Quote
benny Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 dont you just screw or unscrew the collars on the sleeves?? Quote
sco_aus Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 There is a tool for it, but it should be easy if you take the weight off the suspension. Quote
PeterAllen Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Make it a rule that if you are going to work on your car do it properly. DON'T knock it off with a hammer and punch, use a 'C' spanner available at any bike shop or specialist suspension place. Check the OD as they come in different sizes. Also, even with the suspension on full extension there is still plenty of spring pressure. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Koni-motorbike-shocks-C-Spanner-NEW_W0QQitemZ220333105229QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories?hash=item220333105229&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Quote
C.A.R. Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Hahaha, I was going to suggest a hammer & punch as a last resort! Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted December 27, 2008 Moderators Posted December 27, 2008 I bought a "C" spanner from Toperformance in Mitcham for $20 but its a hike for you there in NSW. Any performance place like Revolution racegear sell things like that. Yep, Its alot easier jacking the car up to adjust and hammer and punch IS the last resort! Tends do damage the slots in the rings. Quote
nuclear_z Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 Hmmmm, used to work at Revo and I cant remember selling these spanners ever... But i'll go check out the nearest one... Maybe justjap would have one.... Make it a rule that if you are going to work on your car do it properly. I now see that it does not though. Quote
