Sadly I drove around and around without finding any of you.  I'm not having much luck with these Wednesday nights.  :-\  However, on the plus side it means I did get to try out my new toy.  Galderdi says I've turned to the darkside.  I think I'm more in need of "Zs Anonymous" - "hi, my name is Mike, I bought my last Z this afternoon, I now have 4 Z's... but only 2 of them work"

I finally have my zed back on the road now so keen for any cruises. But I don't think for very long..... Gearbox needs to be rebuilt

I hear you about the gearbox issues. Mine is definitely on the way out and I am very easy on it.

Luckily I got a Z32 gearbox in the halway though.

I'm running 15psi at the moment, but yeah driving it pretty carefully at the moment til I save enough for a new box. I'm thinking of going the R33 gearbox with custom bellhousing. Theres a little info and pics on this link http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,3572.msg29717.html#msg29717

garvice.. i think that sounds about right to be honest. You get torque from loading the engine, if you can load the engine, you get more torque, Doesnt mean you get more hp.

well i guess at the end of the day, does it feel like 300hp? Thats alot of power.. not alot of cars can reach that feat with just a turbo boost up. What have you done to the engine? 185 to 300 hp is a big difference..

 

and im sure if you go to a mechanic.. who do know whats going on.. they wil tell you  torque and hp are two different things, and doesnt need to be relelvent to each other, as i said before. Its just like a disele truck. max 4k redline, making 150hp average.. whit shitloads of torque.. with your calculation.. the truck would be making 1000'shp to equal the tourqe it makes.. ive used a ford trader 5 tonner for an example, far from a performance truck in any means.

 

just take it to another dyno shop and re run it.. that will tell you if its 185 or 300.. thats a big margin to be out by though.

Ok so i think we are about due for another meet. There are a couple of guys who haven;t met before who are keen to like Matty260z. This time I'm thinking on a weekend so a) it might be easier for modular and waxhead and b) so we can meet somewhere during the day and actually see the cars

As for a location i have been scoping sites out for something else and the bbq areas around mtcootha are nice ( read good parking ). Also maybe down where the first one was near cuttingedge post production ( other side of the river opposite coro drive ? ). 

 

Anyhow count me in. For now cos if a big breasted woman wants to spend time with me on a weekend i am sorry but you fellas come in second  .

im going up to cairns for a week from next friday, till the monday after, so i'll be out of action for that one. A location i had in mind was the kingsford smith memorial at the airport, through the day on a weekend.Though a bbq meet sounds good too! Still no 26 though, im doing all the nitty gritty, it doesnt even look any different to the first day i got it.. lol.. doesnt look like ive even done anything to it! lol.

I am out of action for at least a couple of months due to travel.  Canada for 4 weeks then Perth, South Africa, Namiba followed by probably another 2 weeks in Tom Price.  I have short breaks in Brisbane in between.  Not even time to get the carbies fixed.

 

I hope the meetings continue and Craig may show up.

Once we get an idea of who is available for whatever dates we can plan where to have it since some people are from Sunshine and Gold Coast.
