Administrators gav240z Posted January 17, 2006 Administrators Posted January 17, 2006 Hi Nathan, Nigel Nr240 or Nr240z can't remember which username he is using at the moment has a set of 260z mags for sale with tyres. I think he wants about $140 with new tyres. I have always liked the ZX Iron Cross style rims on early Z's. Quote
Toecutter Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Those wheels Nigel has sound like a great deal. I've got some alloy 14 inch hurricane wheels, 2 of which have new tyres other 2 no good but if you want them you can have em for $50. Quote
Zeddophile Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I believe AE86 (toyota sprinter) wheels are the right stud pattern, and if they are normal width, the offset should fit.... If i had my adaptors made up, I'd sell you my stockies... Quote
Natez Posted January 18, 2006 Author Posted January 18, 2006 zedophile.... is that ur car in the avater, are they steel stockies... sulio which ones are the hurracane.... are they half decent looking and are the tread on the 2 fronts RW... as thats what i need them for... + for driving the first coupla weeks/months i get the car on the road... i'll take them off ya for $50 no worries even if i don't like the look of them... as long as its 4 wheels that are the same... zedevan Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 i've got some stock 260z rims sitting here that i paid $70ish for, the rubber on them is gone but i can now no longer be bothered polishing and painting them like i was intending to...if i do i'll just do it to the ones that are on there one at a time and use the spare as a...spare Quote
Zeddophile Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 No, my stockies are the cross kind of alloy things. Quote
Toecutter Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 The hurricanes are like the wheels on the General Lee car on Dukes of hazard...put em on your Z and start jumping hay stacks! wooooohoooooo Quote
Bruce Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Sorry to steal this thread, but does anybody know if stock wheels of a silvia will fit a Z. They seem to be in abundance and relatively cheap (and 4 stud and 15 inch). I want to fit some 60/55/50 series racing tyres to them cheers Bruce Quote
luke_mcmahon85 Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 i love those hurricane wheels! if natez doesn't want them for any reason i'll definately grab them! Quote

The only problem you may have is clearance to the struts as these wheels will have a positive offset. Depending on width of the wheel you may get a way with them if standard. Best bet is to find some "old school" negative offset rims. Check E-bay, Ozdat or the trading post. There is a wheel shop on e-bay that has restored wheels from the '70s available. Or bite the bullet and get some new wheels, it all depends on what you want to spend. In any case, for track work I personally would not run wheels that need spacers, but spend the money on wheels that are the proer offset and fit correctly. Quote
