What color should i paint my 240z

hey guys

 

i need help not to sure on what color to paint the car

 

all suggestions wanted could you also supply pics of what you think is good

 

im leaning towards this (black with gun metal flairs)

That looks great, but would be a lot of maintenance to keep shiny.

I wouldn't go black with gun metal flares.  Whatever colour you choose go with black for the flares.  My favourite colour on Zed's is bright red but that black one does look pretty cool if you want to be a bit different.

black looks amazing but we all know in reality it's the worst colour to maintain. i'm more of a silver or red person.

Personally, I don't like black on the S30 shape.  If you like those colours,

 

what about gunmetal body and black flares?

I've owned several black cars and they are a pain in the rectum to keep clean as everyone has said. Once you have washed it, 3 mins later you see a film of dust and pollen all over the car and then you wonder why did I bother?

 

With black ZG flares, white always looks great but a Silver or Titanium colour looks brilliant also. I think you will be tossing and turning for a while with this....

i just sold my rex today so cash is there ready to drop the car off

 

i want black and have owned 2 black car one of which was the rex

 

i think with the amount of money im putting into it ill wash it all the time

 

but im considering the dark blue off a Evo 9 lancer but think will be to close to austin hokes car is all

 

dont wanna go red cause of sulios car

 

want to be an individual for one to copy and not to have copied some else so i want it to be unique

I personally want to paint mine Silver. For two reasons really, the first is that from factory my 240z was Silver (now red) and also because Silver looks amazing on a 240z. Especially with flares and other vinyl stripes etc..

 

I love the Silver on this RX3

if i were to paint mine it'd definitely be silver. looks so nice with the curvy shape. yumm

 

just get it done in black if that's your thing peter. not many black ones so you can be an individual

I think you'll find on that black 240z all the gunmetal bits, except for the rims, are carbon fibre

 

i'm a big fan of any slightly off grey/brown/green colour, of which there are heaps on bmw/audi/merc. i was next to an e46 the other day which was a really nice weird gold/green colour, but can't find a pic of it quickly though.

 

i was thinking it would be nice to have my car a nissan colour, particularly either of millennium jade off r34 nur's or the r35 titanium grey, but i'll prob get mine sprayed the old new mini's dark green at some point unless i find a nicer dark green, just as my car was/is dark green...

 

 

 

both these colours seem to look more desaturated and darker when not in 'show room' type environments

I am painting mine blue.

Honda "Electron" blue, B-95.

 

i think it'll look reall good, and have a good depth to it, but a nice shine on the curvy parts of the body.

Evo lancer blue (evo 8-9 model)

Mazda 3 Phantom blue

BA-BF falcon blue

i think black is a good option as it's pretty rare from what i've seen.

there's always someone out there that will not like the

colour of your car. nuff said, i like white, black, red, yellow, orange, purple, green, silver,

grey,blue (in no particular order) LOL!

I love black.....but not for zeds.

ok for tough fords, holdens wrx's evos etc, but in my humble opinon the classic zed shape needs to bee SEEN not hidden. zeds need light-ish colours as the shape makes the statement not the colour.

there is a beautiful olive metalic on the current holden calais..very similar to the pic of the GTR as posted by Zedevan.

If you really love dark colours , also check out dulux pewter, its a classic mid 70's gun-grey musclecar type of colour..

Well my fav colour for a zed is that burnt orange (like doudous Phil's), I also have a 120Y in that colour but I know Peter isn't into that.

 

If it has to be black why not a metallic black. Or a dark silver/gunmetal.

 

You've owned black cars before so you know what's involved in maintaining them so I say go for it!

it's actually a dark purple, but yeah it looks pretty dam nice, i think i would of kept the trim chrome though to match the lip on the rims
