620Z Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I think we are more into Zeds than Volvos on this site. Quote
Cdr Zero Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Nothing wrong with Silhouettes! Nice car, and good luck with the sale mate! Quote
Ben Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 What's the deal with the sale? A GTS is a perfect family car! One of the old SA SVD club members has a red S2 which has been his family car for years - he looks after it, but it is 'used'. (From memory the good seats are in the shed & he has standard Silhouette interior fitted!) Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted August 8, 2008 Administrators Posted August 8, 2008 I think we are more into Zeds than Volvos on this site. LOL, what's wrong with Volvo's anyway? Might make a good daily driver for someone though. Quote
Scando Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Nothing wrong with GTS Sillhouettes and that's cheap at that price. Good luck with the sale Quote
jeff43 Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 Cheers for the comments guys. Sorry not a Zed. I figured there may be another Z fanatic out there with a passion for one of these SVD warmed classics. Sorry ben has to go. Your right it isn't a bad family car and has served us well, just can't talk the wife into driving it ( clutch to heavy, steering to heavy etc - she drives her KN laser ). Would love to keep it as a weekend warrior, but alas 3 Z's in the back garage and the 2 daily's in the house garage means she would be out in the weather and my priorities are with the Z's. So hoping to find a good home for her. Quote
RBZ 260 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 clutch too heavy and steering? doesn't this have power steer? so steering shouldn't be heavy unless theres somethig wrong with it. as for clutch thats easy replace it with the standard type give the skyline to your wife and get rid of the laser . skyline has more room at the back for kids and a very large boot. you need to be better at selling it to her. just dont mention fuel economy and extra 2 cylinders for rego i used to have a 88 TI with very low kms sub 100k when i got it.sold it with 116 on it . brilliant car. bit boxy but as they age they look better and better. And that being a GTS sure be collectable. sure wouldnt be too hard to sell a GTS. advertise it on the skyline forum sure you get more interest. Quote
