Hunter Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Would it be worth AUSZCAR getting hold of some original good condition owners manuals and doing a bulk reprint if the price is right and there is enough interest? Would there be any copyright laws in doing this? Would it be better to have a downloadable high quality .pdf versions on this site? So we could veiw/print them our selves? Quote
Cdr Zero Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I've got an "S30" owners manual from 1973 that's in pretty good nick. I'd be happy to scan it in to pdf format and send it along. You can get service manuals here: http://carfiche.com/manuals023/cars/ I also have a contact list for all Datsun dealers circa '73 and the owners manual for the original AM-FM radio. Quote
stevo_gj Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I was under the impression these manuals were fairly common anyway Quote
RBZ 260 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 i got a brand new 73 booklet and in fairly good condition 260z 76 one. as for service manuals they arent that expensive and can get them from nissan still. hand booklets are bit rarer and fairly pricey for what they are. as for reprinting them possible issues with copyrights. expecialy if made to be sold. but none one can stop you to make a copy of your own and use it while the original one is in storage in a safe place. lets face it 240z/260z didnt have 6 million switches and dvd players etc... the books are fairly thin im sure ppl can remember how to change the seat position and adjust the mirrors. chris240 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Ive been after a 240z "glovebox" manual for ages....If someone can send me one I can colour scan it on our whiz-bang office copier. I missed out on one on ebay a few months back it sold for $50 as a "buy it now". The 240z glovebox manuals are defintely not common.. Quote

Hunter Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 I just think it would be nice to have a copy of the original glovebox manual. (for interests sake) I know you can buy them on ebay etc. But it would be nice to have access to them here. As long as we are not profiting from it I can't see the problem. We could even sell crayons that come with a free copy of the owners manual. Quote
lightmaster240z Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I would be intrested in a packet of the new 240z 1973 crayon that we are selling or copying : regards Bruce Quote
