WTB Badges and Working clock for my 260z

Hey guys,

 

Looking to source some rear quarter panel badges/emblems.

 

Also have a clock that is not working. I'll buy one if this problem is fixable by purchasing a working second hand model.

Your existing clock should be able to be repaired. It is pretty normal for clocks of this era to stop working. Most of the reason is lack of lubrication. First step is to find someone with an ultrasonic bath, like a watch/clock repairer. Failing that, have a look at the steps in this article for a Mustang clock. They are pretty much the same. The first link involves installing a quartz movement, and the second one is how to fix it.

I am looking for two of this kind of badge (pic attached), but obviously the chrome ones not black. If I can't find some decent ones in Aus can anyone recommend any companies that would be able to restore them in Brisbane.

 

I looked on American ebay and the only decent set (few dodgy old ones that i suppose could be restored, but I can get those easily enough in aus) was black, which i'm not really interested in. Buy it now for 82.95 US Plus shipping was also a deterrent.

they are 240z only im sure, but doesnt mean you cant put em on, il have a look, i atleast reckon i should be able to come up with one pretty good set, all funds are for my late mates wife so dont sttoge them too much

Ring up your local nissan dealer. they can get new ones. but be prepared to pay i think they were around $75 each. i ended up getting new ones from the US but of the s1 with "240Z" written on the side.also ended up getting new "datsun" fender ones and "Datsun" bonnet badge. at the time it was a fair bit cheaper than getting these from nissan.

 

the new ones are made from plastic but are very good.

Hey man the badges are now $95 a side, i can get them for you cheaper $60 a side... got a mate that works there..
