Looking at my options for suspension on my 260z and wanted to hear people's thoughts after looking through some of the many forum posts.

The car will be road driven mainly with perhaps the occasional track day once a year or so.

The car is getting built to a modified factory performance so no crazy engine transplants etc.

I want the car to sit nice and low. Most likely be running 15s max 16s and want the springs to be captive.

Looking forward to hearing people's suggestions. Thanks for your time and input. As always this forum is a great wealth of information.

Les Collins Racing sells a package consisting of shortend struts, coil-over platforms, king springs (in whatever rate you want) and Koni Sport dampers: $2600
I've driven the above car and can attest it's firm, yet buttery smooth on the road :)

what did you end up going with and any pics showing ride height?

I'm currently working on Daniels suspension for his restoration.
The struts are away getting their tubes shortened so we can obtain enough bump travel.
Then to get the ride height lower still with the Lovells lowering springs, I'm going to drop the perches on the tubes until I get the ride height I'm after.
I ended up using Koni Yellow Sport damper inserts from the front of a Z31 for all for corners, with a special Koni gland nut to suit the 55mm strut tubes.

In the future if Daniel wants firmer springs or the ability to easily adjust the ride height, he can fit height adjustable platforms.

What’s the cost to do this as I’ll probably end up going this way too? Where are you located?

$3k-$4k buy the time it's all done.
We are in the Latrobe Valley.
