MelZ Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 The springs in my car (71 240z) are a bit 'saggy' on the drivers side...I am wanting to replace them - but thinking I might want to lower the drive height by just a few inches - I want to keep the car looking as original as possible, but still think I could get away with dropping it a few inches, what springs are recommended by you experts out there and does anyone know where I can get some? dazzed Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 have to be careful as to which king springs to use as there are 2 different types for the 260 and 240 if you use the king springs for a 240z the car will be to high and the spring rate it too low, go for the 260 coupe springs but you have to cut them to get the right height and in turn gives the right rate Quote

Toecutter Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Melz, the Kings I bought will fit with standard strutts and shocks. Many people install them. I would take note of Daryls comments though as I have installed them in a 260z (however 74 model though with smaller rear towers like 240's). I do have a friend who has a 240 and was advised "Low" Kings were installed and it looked like standard height to me. Quote
