qhongtran Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Just doing some ebay shopping and stumbled across some Canadian group selling after market coil over springs. thats right springs. http://www.cosmoracing.com/productinfo.asp?cid=259&pid=1556 Looks like a pretty good option not requiring cutting struts etc.... Just for street use. thanks Hong Andrew_L26 1 Quote
andyk_79 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 The main reason I've seen most people fit coilovers is so that wider wheels don't scrub on the spring perches. Be interested to know how many of these they sell on the basis here that the spring perches are unchanged Quote
qhongtran Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 For $220 US for all fours thats not a bad price considering I am not really going for crazy 15x10 wide wheels. Though some guys in the US run them on 16inch wheels 8.5 front and 9.5 rears with spacers..... wouldnt race with it but. Quote
Riceburner Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 I think those cosmo springs are mentioned on 'HybridZ'. The springs are very short and they didn't get good feedback. Quote
Agno Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Short springs = very choppy ride. I imagine these would make the car pretty uncomfortable Quote

Retro Z Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Those cosmo springs bind. And don't have alot of travel. You'll be riding on the bump stops or with the springs fully compressed. Redline performance is currently selling proper coilver sleeves for not much more. You'll need to section (remove a inch or so) from the strut tube to gain more travel. Its not hard or expensive to do. Www.redlinebarbados.com Quote

Considering purchasing a set however would be good to speak to someone/hear feedback before going ahead. Quote
