Just doing some ebay shopping and stumbled across some Canadian group selling after market coil over springs. thats right springs.

Looks like a pretty good option not requiring cutting struts etc.... Just for street use.

thanks

The main reason I've seen most people fit coilovers is so that wider wheels don't scrub on the spring perches.  Be interested to know how many of these they sell on the basis here that the spring perches are unchanged

For $220 US for all fours thats not a bad price considering I am not really going for crazy 15x10 wide wheels. Though some guys in the US run them on 16inch wheels 8.5 front and 9.5 rears with spacers..... wouldnt race with it but.

Those cosmo springs bind. And don't have alot of travel. You'll be riding on the bump stops or with the springs fully compressed.

Redline performance is currently selling proper coilver sleeves for not much more.

You'll need to section (remove a inch or so) from the strut tube to gain more travel. Its not hard or expensive to do.

Anyone using these in their car currently? Considering purchasing a set however would be good to speak to someone/hear feedback before going ahead.
