GiantStickMan Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Hi, Thought i'd introduce myself, I'm Graham from Canberra and just picked up a '76 260Z 2+2. Some photo's attached. I'm new to Zed car ownership, my other car is a lightly modified R33 Skyline GTS-t. Have to say though, this one turns a lot more heads! It's in good condition, no major rust, recently resprayed in it's original white. The guy i bought it off was sad to see the back of it as it was somewhat of an unfinished project so i'm hoping to add my own unique spin on it and finish the work he started. I was 19 and the 240z I owned previously had major battery rust rendering it un-drivable so I bought a 2+2 to carry my mates around in (first to get my license) unfortunately she was written off. http://www.viczcar.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=3 nice to see another white 260z though, I too have always liked them in white. I'm moving house shortly to Burra, which is just outside the ACT. You might have seen my other car, black Series 2 R33, stock kit, Koya wheels and a front mount intercooler. I haven't had much trouble with the police unless i've been doing something wrong to warrant it Sorry to hear that Gav, makes it worse when it isn't your fault. I agree with you though, the white really suits the lines of the car, sure; it's not as smooth as the 2 seaters lines, but it still looks fantastic! Quote
modular9 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 haha I used to drive a xb black falcon coupe 351 extractors and a lumpy cam. I wasnt doing anything wrong when i got breathalised in my driveway before setting off ! nah the zed wont attract the whole " hmm must be up to no good as that is a drift/drag/doof-doof car " type of attention. I love being able to drive past a police car and not have to worry if it was turning around and following. Quote

The cops out here are pretty good, they don't seem too care much and they haven't tried to defect me the times i have been pulled over (for RBT's etc). But it will be a nice change driving something that doesn't instantly register on their radar and get their attention when you drive past. That XB sounds like a beast! Did you sell it? Quote
