As the title suggests..... it is in with a box of z parts and I can't figure out where it came from...a Peter Allen moment maybe  :-\

 

Can any one help?

Just hand a look on some handles I have here, both 240 and 260. The springs on them are very different to this - much thinner and only one set of coils each side of the pivots. Have completely striped my 71 240z and can't remember seeing anything like this. Maybe that's why your washing machine is making such a racket...

I agree Peter...and some where in there is a, NOS, never fitted to a machine, Hepworth hydraulic copy turning attachment to fit a Cholchester lathe.

Fancy washing machine ...... Have to keep the kerosene up to the fridge as well .... but I am pleased that I found a home for the spring
