Can Some One Help Identify This Spring?

As the title suggests..... it is in with a box of z parts and I can't figure out where it came from...a Peter Allen moment maybe 

 

Can any one help?

Door handle spring?

Thank you...there must be another one as well....time to have a BIG clean out....bits of machinery are breeding in the shed.

Just hand a look on some handles I have here, both 240 and 260. The springs on them are very different to this - much thinner and only one set of coils each side of the pivots. Have completely striped my 71 240z and can't remember seeing anything like this. Maybe that's why your washing machine is making such a racket...

"This Spring" started 10 days ago and is the Spring of 2016.

I agree Peter...and some where in there is a, NOS, never fitted to a machine, Hepworth hydraulic copy turning attachment to fit a Cholchester lathe.

I found it...fuel door...it was in the other shed where the car is....the very tidy one....

Fancy washing machine ...... Have to keep the kerosene up to the fridge as well .... but I am pleased that I found a home for the spring
