Have found a couple of ground wires in engine bay harness wiring are open circuited . Can anyone give me a clue to where the ground wires for the harness are connected in the engine bay !!!.

At the bottom of the drivers side strut tower. 2 ring terminal bolted to the brake line distribution block and one at alternator.

My '74 has a single ring earth bolted to the brake distribution block.

Plus another to the back of the alternator.

Nothing whatsoever at the coil end of the loom.

Wiring loom is original, never been removed.

 

an earth from the pass rear bolt tappet cover to the hood latch as well

??? Sounds like a PO add-on to me.

I have seen it before I assumed it was to assist the earth to the bulkhead oh well I guess I can chuck it then.....

 Gathered that , mine only has the grnd lead to the Alternator as well . Intending to open engine bay section of harness & install a couple of grnd wires.

Might mention also that there is grnd wire that connects to my elctrnc dizzy case .
