Mike Phillips From Phillips Hot Rod And Custom

I have watched a few of Mike Phillips (Phillips Hot Rods and Custom) videos on the Eastwood Compny YouTube channel. I have found them very interesting educational and informative. I decided to look him up and I found his book face page and interestingly he is working on a Z car.

Zeds are certainly everyone's favourite at present but what I'd like to see for the S30 is a full wide body side treatment instead of the usual flares. Keeping it in period would be a challenge though.

But widebody ZG's are 'period correct'.

 

Just look at these Fairlady 240ZR's.

A lot of S30Z's being raced in North America also had the widebody ZG style applied.

Just an example of what I was thinking of but I'm not sure that something like that would be period correct. Depends on what treatment other cars were getting up to the late 70's.
