Administrators gav240z Posted June 1, 2016 Administrators Posted June 1, 2016 Hi Folks,I have a friend in SFO with a bunch of TOPY wheels, I think they are date stamped 72/73 mostly.. I was doing some sums on cost to buy + import here and wasn't sure if it's worth bringing them in, in bulk etc.. From memory he has maybe 3-4 pairs of these wheels, maybe more? Just wondering if there is much demand for these and if so what year / date stamp is required? Or if this isn't important also let me know? Given size/weight - air freight isn't really a good option, so would need to be sent via ship / pallet. Can you also give me an idea of what kind of ball park pricing you would expect these at? I suspect there is maybe 1 or 2 of us who really want these wheels. For the others it's a bit "meh". Quote
NickF Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 HI Gav I would be interested in a set What widths are they? Nick Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted June 1, 2016 Author Administrators Posted June 1, 2016 I believe early 1970 date stamped wheels are 4.5j and later 71+ are 5j Quote
NickF Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I think there was a 5.5 as well? I"m not fussy on width, or even a matching set. Really only need 3 Happy to buy individual wheels Nick Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted June 1, 2016 Moderators Posted June 1, 2016 Hi Would it be cheaper to throw them in the boot of car that is coming here ? Maybe talk to one of specialist US to AUS vehicle import import companies ? Just a thought. But probably not an original one. Cheers PB Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted June 1, 2016 Author Administrators Posted June 1, 2016 When I was importing my RX-7 from Europe I was told I could not put items in the car. The car must be free of 'stuff'. I am looking at options around putting stuff on a crate. Not looking to do this immediately just seeing if there is interest first. Quote
