tir33d Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 How has one, did you get it in Australia and to be real painful - how wide is it where it attaches to hatch. Think my custom beaver tail is to high and hurting me above 200. Whole car seems to start to lift. Have a big front spoiler so its not naturally getting under the front. Sent numerous emails to the states but no response. Want it for a 280zx - there lies the problem! Any help would be appreciated Phil Quote
PeterAllen Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I shouldn't think this would be too hard to adapt. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DATSUN-240-260Z-WHALE-TAIL-REAR-SPOILER-/161788564875?hash=item25ab59958b Quote
tir33d Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 I search everywhere and find nothing. Peter thank you. Reckon I might have a crack at making that one work unless someone comes up with a direct fit. Thanks again Quote
24 Dat Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 These whale tails also make for exceptional bars at after race meet, drinks Quote
dat2kman Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Needs side dams and a Gurney lip to get effective airflow seperation, and stop air spilling ver sides. The Group C Mazda RX7 "big" rear unit was very effective. These can be grafted onto a Z or ZX reasonably easy. SelectMaz in Melbourne sells them. Quote
PZG302 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Or if you are in Brisbane and can wait until mid september when I get back to Aus, I just happen to have a 3 piece Group C bird bath off an RX7 that I had on my 240 that I don't have a need for anymore, and for the right currency* could be convinced to part with it. * I like IPA's and other similar styles that you can't see through made by artisan brewers who aren't owned by multinationals, a red labelled SA brew also comes to mind, especially if in packs of 24...... luvemfast Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I'm a fan of the ZX-R whale tail spoiler. But originally are polyurethane I think. So a fg replica would be better. Quote
