Sean Dezart Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Hello everyone. I thought it was high time having perused your forum and hijacked some great photos that I should at least present myself and my cars. A little history : Bought my first 240Z back in 1989 after having run a Celica for two years and now on my second Z. I've been importing them into France for +10 years and locally make/sell a few specific parts, mostly to avoid the horrendous shipping and customs charges applied to imports here. I was very active in the UK Z club from 1989 - 1993 when I left for Holland. I joined the club there and participated until I left for France in 1997. Here I looked around and found a Japcar club but later co-founded what has become Club Datsun-France : http://www.datsun-france.com/ with which we support the Datsun and especially Z scene in France and its' neighbouring countries. Currently have about 20x Zs in various stages of preparation/restoration and aid in the innovation and perfection of these cars as they just don't age despite being 45 years old, well, younger than me anyway :-) ! When I've figured out how (meaning more time to read the right help-post here), I'll post up some photos. In the meantime, thanks for welcoming me and a Happy New Year to you all so Barbys out for you and log fires for me ! Quote
PeterAllen Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Bonjour Sean. I've read your posts on Z Club for some time. The search for parts and information to restore and maintain S30s has grown to a global scale and I expect your knowledge and experience will be sincerely appreciated here. I'm kinda 'off' the UK forum - I guess my direct approach and rather outspoken attitude (a spade is a spade with me and if the truth hurts, live with it - I do ) is too hard on the ranther over-sensitive pomms : never mind, the Z was/is a world car and as time allows, I'd be a priviledge to participate in discussions here. If I can help with a log on to our French forum (and yes, you can write English - there are many who are bi-lingual and Google translate is there for the other curious members), email me and I'll set up a user name and password. Here in photos - once upon a green Z and the current yellow one. The Sunny and the Slivia. The other Zs I'll list elsewhere more appropriate. Quote

Welcome to the forum. You will be in good company on this forum with that honest attitude. We have a our fair share of direct and honest participants and they really spice things up from time to time. Cheers PB Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted January 3, 2015 Administrators Posted January 3, 2015 Hi Sean, I certainly recognise your username from Classizcars.com and many other forums. I think Australian's are a pretty direct bunch to be honest and don't see you have any problems here. So welcome and glad to see the forum has offered some value to you already. Quote
nissag250 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Hi, Sean , you are becoming the world most famous Z expert ! Tu vas devenir mondialement connu ! Quote
Riceburner Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Hi Sean, As others have said welcome to the forum. I love a good yellow Z and yours looks to be an excellent example. I have had a little browse on the site and found another excellent yellow Z car, is there a build thread or anymore info or specs on it? Thanks, Gareth. Quote
